Simmons School of Management Adjunct Faculty and Institute Fellow Mary Shapiro was interviewed by the Harvard Business Review for an article, “17 Team Building Activities for In-Person, Remote, and Hybrid Teams.”

Shapiro was selected for the interview as an expert on team-building and the author of HBR Guide to Leading Teams. In the article, Shapiro notes the complications that arise when managing remote workers. “You have to be more intentional and design structured interactions that will create connection — even from a distance,” she says, offering strategies for greater team-building.
