Are you interested in pursuing a paid research project this summer? Consider developing a SURPASs research project!
The Summer Undergraduate Research Experience at Simmons (SURPASs) is a fully-funded six-week summer research intensive for undergraduate students and faculty mentors across a variety of disciplines.
The SURPASs intensive takes place for six weeks from the end of May to June. Students receive a $3,500 stipend, a budget of up to $1,000 for project expenses, and on-campus housing for the duration of the program. In addition, faculty mentors receive a stipend of $2,000.
Join the SURPASs info session to learn more about the program! We welcome students and faculty mentors from all disciplines.
- Wednesday, October 30 from 4 to 5 PM || Kotzen Room
- Wednesday, December 4 from 2 to 3 PM || Zoom (*IRB presentation included)
*Note: If your project idea potentially involves human subjects (such as interviewing people), your proposal will likely need to be submitted to the Institutional Review Board in addition to SURPASs. IRB is not required prior to applying to SURPASs, but we encourage you to attend the December 4 info session to learn more about the timing and review process. This meeting will be recorded for those who are unable to attend.
We look forward to meeting you! Please visit simmons.edu/surpass to learn more about the application process. Email [email protected] with questions.
