Living on Campus

Life in the heart of Boston is energetic and bustling, but at Simmons you'll find friendly faces, a welcoming atmosphere, and lots to do. Our nine residence halls, state-of-the-art athletic facilities, and many dining options will make you feel right at home.

Join our vibrant, welcoming campus

Step onto our campus and you feel it: the welcoming atmosphere, the friendly community, and the eagerness to learn. Our spaces are designed to bring people together, from our nine residence halls — each with its own personality — to the Bartol Dining Hall and Holmes Sports Center. Throughout your time here, you’ll bond with new friends during early-morning yoga, share meals with people you care about, engage in conversations that last through the night, and everything in between.

All first-year undergraduate students are required to live on campus. Sophomores, juniors, and seniors, including those in accelerated 3+1 (bachelor's + master's) programs, are also eligible to live in the residence halls.

As an incoming student you will be assigned a roommate(s) based on information you supply. Returning students participate in a room selection process.

Our Campus Spaces

Simmons University currently includes two distinct campus spaces: the academic campus and the residence campus. Through the One Simmons project, our campus is in the process of becoming one unified campus that will support our entire academic community, and modernize the living and learning experience for all Simmons students. The project is scheduled for completion in fall 2026.
