Graduate Student Resources

Welcome to Simmons

Here you will find contacts and resources to help you navigate your time as a graduate student, in the areas of:

Academic Support

@ Simmons Student Success Specialist Team

The Student Success Specialist Team is the first point of contact for online students. Coaches guide students through complex systems, offering advice and breaking down challenges. They ensure students have support in reaching their goals.

@ Simmons Academic Advising

Academic advisors help online students understand the process and implications of withdrawing from a course or taking time off, help navigate procedures like by clarifying academic policies, and assist in planning course schedules to meet requirements.

The Writing Center

The Writing Center, located in the Center for Student Success, fosters academic excellence by providing resources and support that meet the needs of both graduate and undergraduate students. Writing center tutors help students from any program with all aspects of writing, including brainstorming, organizing ideas, and citing sources. Tutors focus on improving your writing skills, not fixing errors or proofreading your work. For a tutoring session, please schedule an appointment.

Office of Accessibility Services

Support is provided for graduate students to receive the accommodations they need for their studies (with medical validation). Accommodations are available for both classroom learning and practical placements like fieldwork or clinical settings

A wide range of ebooks and articles are available through the library. The library also provides guides and videos to assist with research and learning how to use Simmon's resources.

Get help through live chat any day of the week or schedule a meeting with a librarian.

Located on the Residential Campus, the Health Center offers urgent care, chronic illness management, prescriptions, and referrals for specialty care to all students.

Graduate students on the Student Health Insurance Plan pay a $15 copay for services, while those with other insurance plans are billed directly ($35-50) and can request reimbursement.
