Graduate Student Requirements
Graduate students must complete all degree requirements as determined by their program and as listed in the Course Catalog for the year they began at Simmons. Once you have completed the program requirements, you are eligible to graduate.
Whether or not you intend to attend Commencement, in order to receive your degree, graduate students must complete a Petition to Graduate and submit it by the deadlines below to receive their degrees by the following dates:
Behavior Analysis@Simmons, Nursing@Simmons, Public Health@Simmons, Social Work@Simmons students nearing completion of the program will receive a link to the Petition to Graduate from the Office of the Registrar via email. You must complete the Petition by the deadline. All other graduate students should email [email protected] to request the specific form for your program.

Simmons conducts graduate commencement ceremonies in September, March, and May each year. Graduates are invited to the ceremony/ies corresponding to the academic year of their completion. For example, conferrals from July 2021 through May 2022 are invited to the September 2021 or March 2022 Virtual Commencement and to the May 2022 Commencement at the Pavilion.
