Earlier this spring, the Simmons Institutional Review Board (IRB) presented on Human Subjects Research and the IRB at faculty meetings.

This presentation will provide an overview of policies and procedures related to Human Subjects Research and the IRB at Simmons University. Topics will include a description of the charge, membership, and compliance obligations of this group, a description of the federal definition of human subjects research and regulations, types of research, and the IRB process. There will be time for Q&A.

This presentation was shared at School faculty meetings in early spring 2025 and is being offered again for faculty who were not able to attend the original presentation as well as for any interested staff. Any faculty or staff who are engaged with human subjects research, or who work closely with those who are engaged in this work, are encouraged to attend.

No RSVPs are needed.
