A research paper by School of Nursing faculty Assistant Professor of Practice Clark Cassone and Associate Professor Patricia Rissmiller was highlighted in the HempGazette, “Survey Finds US Nurse Practitioner Students Support Medical Cannabis.” Their study, “NP [Nurse Practitioner] student knowledge and perceptions of medical marijuana,” concluded: “With an increasing number of states legalizing MM [Medical Marijuana], NP programs must evaluate their current curricula and integrate content that addresses the gap in knowledge of MM mechanism of action, indications, and adverse reactions.”
