Anna Modest serves as Course Designer and Section Instructor for Epidemiology. In addition to her role at Simmons University, Anna is a Faculty Scientist and Director of Clinical Research Education in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Director of the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Statistical Support Core and Assistant Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Biology at Harvard Medical School. Her primary research is in complications of pregnancy, particularly preeclampsia and placenta accreta spectrum.
Anna is passionate about education students and clinicians in appropriate study design and epidemiologic methods in order to improve research in reproductive health and other areas of medicine.
