Emily Perry
Assistant Professor of Practice/Mentoring and Supervision Faculty
Emily Perry graduated from the University of Mary Washington in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in psychology. During her education there, she completed an internship in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and fell in love with working with children with special needs. After graduating, she relocated to the Boston area, and began working at Perkins School for the Blind, in the Deafblind Program. I completed my graduate degree at Simmons in behavior analysis during my time at Perkins. Once she obtained her graduate degree, her career moved toward providing ABA therapy to individuals diagnosed with autism, which she did for the next 10 years. She also worked at Simmons as an Individual and Group Mentor starting in 2013. In September 2021, she became a part-time faculty member for Mentoring and Supervision to support both the on-campus and online programs, and in May 2022, she started working full-time at Simmons as the Interim Director of Mentoring for the campus program, as well as continuing her unique role within the department as Mentoring and Supervision faculty.
