Jennifer (Jen) Awwad holds a Master's of Science in Instructional Design and Technology, complemented by a Master's of Education in TESOL and a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Theatrical Design. Jen is a seasoned instructional designer with expertise in designing effective and engaging online courses that facilitate meaningful learning experiences. Jen’s strengths lie in collaborating with faculty to incorporate best practices, accessible materials, and innovative technologies into courses.
Prior to her current role, Jen served as an Instructional Designer at the University of North Alabama where she played a crucial role in planning and developing stand-alone courses and fully online programs. She has over six years of online teaching experience at the college level. Jen is passionate about frameworks for equity-minded course design, including Universal Design for Learning, Culturally Responsive Teaching, Transparency in Learning and Teaching, and Open Educational Practices.
