Melissa Erlick is the Practicum Operations Manager, overseeing all administrative and logistical functions within the Practicum Education Department at Simmons School of Social Work. Having been with Simmons University since 2021, Erlick supports the SSW faculty in designing and managing the placement process for On Ground MSW students, liaises with the 500+ affiliated agencies that make up the SSW's extensive partnership, and collects and tracks practicum data for reporting and accreditation.
Erlick also runs the Practicum Education Department’s placement platform and database Tevera, managing the practicum experience for students in both the MSW On Ground and MSW Online programs. Erlick was recruited by Tevera product coaches to serve on their inaugural Advisory Board, collaborating with colleagues across the country to propose new features and develop enhancements.
Additionally, Erlick serves as the Production Editor for Applied Learning in Social Work Education (formerly Field Educator), a nationally recognized biannual online journal.
She enjoys working with the incredibly passionate and dedicated group of colleagues in the School of Social Work as well as utilizing her creativity and analytical strengths to enhance the student, faculty, and external partner practicum experience.
