She/Her
Nina is a graduate of the Boston College School of Social Work. She was part of Boston College’s first cohort Black Leadership Initiative program which focuses on an Afrocentric approach to social work practice. Nina is a proud Simmons undergraduate alum and has worked in the Counseling Center as an admin. As a biracial woman, she is excited to pull from her education and personal experience to work with BIPOC folks, young adults navigating transitions, racial trauma, self-confidence, self-identity, and self-care. She has experience working with diverse and under-represented populations from teens experiencing emotional, neurological, behavioral, or learning difficulties to inmates of all ages navigating the most difficult time in their lives. She looks to foster a safe environment, one of positivity, empowerment, patience, and grace. In her free time, she enjoys true crime podcasts, being a cat enthusiast, and painting while listening to her favorite vinyls (Raspberry Beret by Prince especially). She looks forward to being a part of your journey!
