Rachel Verni has extensive experience working with higher education IRBs, as both a researcher and administrator. Prior to joining Simmons, Verni worked in the IRB office of The Graduate Center of the City University of New York, conducting preliminary reviews and providing support to faculty and doctoral students across a variety of departments. She also previously served as the Director of Undergraduate Research at Hunter College, where she helped connect students and faculty in collaborative research. Verni is passionate about helping ensure the IRB is efficient and supportive to all members of the Simmons campus.
Verni holds a PhD in social-personality psychology from The Graduate Center of the City University of New York and a MA in psychology from Boston University.
