Sophia Moore ’24 is one of the first Simmons students to complete the initial portion of the accelerated 3+2 Engineering program. Having obtained her first bachelor’s degree from Simmons, this fall she will relocate to the New York metropolitan area to pursue her second bachelor’s degree at Columbia University.

On Friday, May 17, 2024, Simmons University celebrated the 119th Commencement Ceremonies at the MGM Music Hall at Fenway. These events honored the many accomplishments of the Class of 2024. Simmons awarded over 500 baccalaureate degrees and nearly 2,100 graduate degrees during these ceremonies.

Annabelle Hannah ’25, a double-major in Chemistry and Physics, was accepted into the 2024 summer Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program at the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn). The 10-week program is funded by the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF).

Simmons Softball won their GNAC Championship after a pair of victories against Saint Joseph’s College of Maine on Saturday, May 11, 2024.

Simmons School of Library and Information Science alumni Megan Phifer-Davis ’18MS and Derek Mosley ’11MS have been selected by Library Journal for the 2024 Movers & Shakers.

While at Simmons, Exercise Science major and Health Care Management minor Kiani Jacobs ’23 received the 2023 Senior Scholar Award and interned at the Harvard Medical Ginty Lab on Neurological Research. She reflects on the value of time spent in the lab, planning events with student groups, and finding her place — as a transfer student and a commuter — at Simmons.
