Longwood Medical Area

Located in the heart of Boston, the Longwood Medical Area features 21 medical and academic institutions. These include internationally-renowned institutions such as Brigham and Women's Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston Children's Hospital, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Joslin Diabetes Center.

Four of the nation's top five recipients of National Institute of Health (NIH) research funding are Longwood institutions.
