CITI Training Program

Simmons faculty and staff will receive a reminder to renew their required CITI courses 90 days prior to expiration. As a reminder, all staff, faculty, and students involved in human subjects research are required to be current with CITI training. CITI certificates are renewed every 3 years.

Course Completion Requirements

When logging into CITI, please select "Human Subjects Research Courses" (not "Responsible Conduct of Research Courses"). Under "Human Subjects Research Courses", please select the required course as follows:

• Faculty, students, staff and outside personnel who conduct human subjects research must complete the following course: Social&Behavioral Basic/Refresher
• Student Researchers conducting not more than minimal risk research must complete the following course: Students
• IRB members must complete the following course: IRB Members Basic/Refresher
