    As Provost, Dr. Cosner will lead the vision and strategy for the full range of Simmons’ academic offerings, including the institution’s diverse mix of undergraduate, graduate, campus-based, and online programs. Dr. Russell Pinizzotto will serve as Chief Operating Officer and Kerri Brophy will be Vice President, Chief Marketing, Enrollment, and Communications Officer.

    When she matriculated to Simmons in the 1940s, Jane Bergwall Shattuck did not realize that she initiated a multi-generational presence at the University.

  5. Lieutenant Dahiana Mesa

    Operations Lieutenant Dahiana Mesa, a member of Simmons’ Public Safety Department, is a warm and trusted presence on campus. In her current role, she oversees diverse operations within the Department, supports Public Safety personnel, and provides guidance and resources to the Simmons community. We spoke with Lieutenant Mesa about her career in law enforcement and why she loves Simmons.

    Gwen Child is a substance use and mental health counselor at the Rosebud Sioux Tribe Social Detoxification Center, a new 15-bed facility located on the Rosebud Indian Reservation in Rosebud, South Dakota.

    Simmons University has received grant funding from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center to address health needs in the communities the hospital serves. The $416,000 grant awarded to Simmons University will help support mental and behavioral health at Fenway High School located in Mission Hill.

  9. Dawn Stolfi Stalenhoef ’92MA

    Alumna Dawn Stolfi Stalenhoef is a Boston-based attorney who specializes in real estate, environmental, and land use law. In the fall of 2023, she was named among the “Top Women of Law” in Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. She spoke with us about her early inclinations toward the legal profession and the value of her customized Simmons education.

  10. Kimberly Noonan ’18DNP

    On October 7, 2023, Kimberly Noonan ’18DNP was inducted as a Fellow within the American Academy of Nursing. A Chief Nurse Practitioner at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Dr. Noonan is committed to supporting Nurse Practitioners and advancing oncology nursing.
